Who Will Get Trump’s Final Rose in The Garden State’s GOP Primary?

As this season of ABC’s The Bachelor comes to a dramatic close tonight, there’s another neck-and-neck contest playing out for one man’s affection – New Jersey’s Republican primary for governor.

Over the weekend, the battle for Trump’s heart – and endorsement – continued, with both two-time failed gubernatorial candidate Jack Ciattarelli and former talk radio host Bill Spadea meeting with the president at Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster.

After attending the New Jersey GOP Statewide Leadership Summit in Atlantic City alongside failed presidential candidate and DOGE reject Vivek Ramaswamy, Ciattarelli continued his MAGA lovefest with a visit with Trump, which, according to the New Jersey Globe, only lasted “a few minutes.” Meanwhile, Spadea got his own one-on-one with Trump the following day at the golf course.

While Ciattarelli has changed his positions in order to align himself with Trump and Musk’s extreme and unpopular agenda, Trump may still struggle to feel a connection after calling out the two-time loser for declining to seek his support in 2021. Meanwhile, Spadea has been gaining grassroots momentum across the state, and earned praise from the president for his loyalty. Politico has previously called Spadea the “Trumpiest of the candidates,” and reports that Trump “appears inclined towards Spadea.”

“Who will get Trump’s final rose in the Garden State’s GOP primary – Jack Ciattarelli or Bill Spadea?” said DGA Campaign Communications Advisor Emma O’Brien. “As these candidates continue to prove their willingness to say and do anything they think will win over Trump, they’re leaving New Jersey families and their top concerns behind. It’s clear neither Bill Spadea or Jack Ciattarelli are here for the right reasons, and it’s time for both of these extremists to say their goodbyes.”
