Shore News Network: “Ciattarelli Gets Crushed in Ocean County by Spadea”
Former talk radio show host and Republican candidate for governor Bill Spadea is gaining ground on Jack Ciattarelli in New Jersey. On Tuesday night, Spadea clinched an endorsement from the Ocean County GOP, which “holds the highest GOP voter base in the state, making up 12% of New Jersey’s Republican electorate,” crushing Ciattarelli “by a wide margin of 129-83.”
This is just the latest in the GOP primary that has quickly turned into a knock-down-drag-out fight to the far-right. Earlier this month, the GOP candidates met on the debate stage for the first time in what was described as a cage match, with plenty of name calling, finger pointing, and MAGA loyalty tests to go around. Both Ciattarelli and Spadea have launched attacks against each other, including in ads and online.
