Will Trump Campaign for Sears When He’s in Virginia This Weekend?
Donald Trump is expected to visit Norfolk on Sunday as he threatens to gut Virginia’s workforce, and the question of whether he will campaign for Winsome Sears is once again in the spotlight.
A month out from Election Day, Trump still refuses to endorse Sears — even though she went to the White House to beg for his support and has a long record of backing his extreme agenda that jacks up costs on housing and electricity, rips health care away from thousands, closes rural health clinics, and has gutted Virginia’s workforce. Most recently, she refused to tell Trump to stop threatening to fire Virginia workers even when asked directly multiple times.
“Donald Trump still hasn’t endorsed Winsome Sears, but that hasn’t stopped her from going all-in on his disastrous agenda that is jacking up costs, ripping health care away from thousands, and gutting Virginia’s workforce,” said DGA Communications Director Sam Newton. “No matter if or when Trump campaigns for Sears, she’s already proven that she is running to bring his extreme partisan agenda to Virginia.”
