In a shocking new interview on NBC, Winsome Sears was asked directly if she would tell Donald Trump not to fire more Virginia workers in an impending government shutdown, and shamelessly refused to answer the question.
This comes as Sears has faced pressure for downplaying the impacts of Trump and DOGE’s attacks on Virginia’s workforce, mocked those who lost their jobs, and claimed that job cuts were not “real issues.” This year, Virginia’s unemployment rate rose for seven straight months.

“Dismissing and downplaying the concerns of those who lost their jobs and now refusing to speak out against Trump threatening to fire even more Virginians is the latest proof why Winsome Sears can never be governor,” said DGA Communications Director Sam Newton.
