Trump Gives Karrin Taylor Robson the Run Around in Messy AZ GOP Primary
Despite Karrin Taylor Robson’s best efforts to align herself with Donald Trump’s plans to raise costs, cut health care, and defund public schools, Trump was a no-show at a desperate event she held at Mar-a-Lago this weekend.
While Trump has not formally endorsed a candidate in the race, he seemed happy to meet with her opponent, far-right extremist Rep. Andy Biggs, earlier this month after Trump’s address to Congress.
Earlier this year, Taylor Robson threw her support behind RFK Jr. for HHS Secretary after he threatened access to abortion medication in a desperate bid to fall in line with Trump. This comes after Taylor Robson faced “a loud chorus of boos” at the Arizona Republican Party’s annual meeting and came in nearly 20 points behind Biggs in early polls.
“In what is shaping up to be a messy, expensive primary between two extreme candidates, Karrin Taylor Robson is a day late and a dollar short as she desperately does whatever it takes to get Trump’s endorsement – no matter what it means for Arizonans,” said DGA National Press Secretary Devon Cruz. “While Karrin Taylor Robson and Andy Biggs fight over who is more extreme, toxic, and wrong for Arizona, Governor Katie Hobbs is focused on the issues that matter most – lowering costs, keeping families safe, creating jobs, and securing the border.”
