“Noteworthy Snub” — Trump Steers Clear of Winsome Sears in Virginia 

Despite Winsome Sears defending Donald Trump’s cuts to Virginians’ jobs and health care, and even going to the White House to beg for his support, the president delivered a “noteworthy snub” by refusing to even mention her in his visit to Virginia this weekend.

• CNN: “It was a noteworthy snub of Winsome Earle-Sears.”
• Washington Post: “The Sunday event in Norfolk, at the nation’s largest naval base, could have been a chance for Trump to inject fresh energy into Earl-Sears’s campaign. The candidate attended, sitting in the front in the VIP section. But Trump did not mention her name.”

This comes as Sears has refused to ask Trump not to fire any more Virginia workers even when asked directly multiple times. She has spent her time on the campaign trail touting her long record of backing his extreme agenda that raises housing and electricity costs, rips health care away from hundreds of thousands of Virginians, has already closed rural Virginia health clinics, and has gutted Virginia’s workforce.

“Winsome Sears is doing her best to bring Donald Trump’s extreme job-killing and cost-raising agenda to Virginia, but even he wants nothing to do with her desperate and failing campaign,” said DGA Communications Director Sam Newton.
