New TV Ad: Dixon’s Conspiracy Theories and Election Denialism
As Tudor Dixon is coming under fire for touting yet another bizarre and unhinged conspiracy theory, Put Michigan First is launching a new tv ad — “Denier” — highlighting Dixon’s dangerous record of spreading dangerous conspiracy theories and defending the violent insurrection on January 6th.
Dixon has spread conspiracy theories that schools are “government-run indoctrination centers,” that the deadly January 6th attacks were not an insurrection, and even embraced bonkers QAnon theories, claiming there will be “a chip that they insert inside of you.”
Just last week, Dixon was exposed for spreading a conspiracy that there was a “decades-long plan by the Democratic Party to ‘topple’ the United States as retaliation for losing the US Civil War, adding that the party wanted to enslave people ‘again.’”
However, when asked about this, Dixon dodged questions, with one local reporter saying: “I’m waiting on an answer about whether she still believes what she said in that video.”
“Instead of bringing people together to solve actual issues, Tudor Dixon has a long and extreme record of spewing dangerous conspiracy theories for the sole purpose of creating division and chaos,” said Put Michigan First Spokesperson Sam Newton. “We already knew Dixon’s plans to ban abortion and dismantle the state budget would make life worse for families; now Michiganders will see how she’s spent years making dangerous and false claims. Meanwhile, the question remains: Does Tudor Dixon still believe everything she’s said in these videos?”
See below for the full transcript of the thirty-second ad:
