John James Panders to Trump with Big Lie as His Campaign Flops 

New reporting from American Journal News reveals how two-time statewide loser John James desperately spread election conspiracies at a recent event, saying: “Who here believes the president won in 2020? All right, well, if you do, I outperformed President Trump in 2020, and there are five judges that agree with you…”

James has previously spread conspiracy theories about the 2020 election, including his own loss, claiming without evidence that he got “screwed.”

James is resorting back to desperate lies and pandering to Trump as his campaign has been stuck in a humiliating stretch of tough weeks, including losing massive ground in GOP primary polling, facing backlash for skipping debates and votes, and even getting caught on a tropical vacation by TMZ instead of doing his job. Meanwhile, James and the rest of the GOP field, like Perry Johnson, continue to go all-in on Trump’s disastrous policies that are raising costs and cutting health care – even as polls show the president completely underwater with Michiganders.

“John James knows his campaign is in shambles, but he continues to run it back on the only play he has in the book – cater to Trump in an attempt to bury his own past as a two-time statewide loser,” said DGA Communications Director Sam Newton. “As he makes excuses and spreads lies, he should know that baseless election conspiracies aren’t popular with Michiganders, and neither is the cost-raising agenda that every Republican in this race supports.”
