AUDIO: Sears Caught Complaining That Trump’s Attacks on Virginia’s Economy Are Hurting Her Politically

Sears has cheered on DOGE and then mocked the concerns of Virginians who lost their jobs

New reporting reveals that Winsome Sears was caught complaining that Donald Trump and DOGE’s sweeping attacks on Virginia’s workforce hurt her politically, lamenting that the conversation was “just DOGE, DOGE, DOGE, DOGE and Trump and DOGE and Trump” and she dropped “six points” due to Trump and Musk’s job-killing agenda.

This comes as the Richmond Times-Dispatch is reporting on DOGE’s devastating consequences for Virginia families and the local economy, noting: “The number of unemployed residents in Fairfax, Virginia’s most populated county with more than 1.1 million people, has risen by 34.7% in the past year and the county’s unemployment rate has increased to 3.3% in May from 2.5% a year earlier.”

Sears has already enthusiastically supported Trump’s attacks on Virginia’s economy and dismissed concerns from Virginians who lost their jobs, saying “do not fret” and “The media is making it out to be this huge, huge thing. And I don’t understand why.”

“Instead of standing up for Virginians who were hurt by Donald Trump and Elon Musk’s reckless attacks on Virginia’s jobs, Winsome Sears embraced it and is now complaining that it’s hurting her campaign,” said DGA Communications Director Sam Newton. “If she’s concerned about how her candidacy is being impacted by these aggressive cuts, we have some advice: do not fret.”
