🚨 AZ TREND ALERT: Gov. Hobbs Outraises the GOP Field — Again

Arizona Gov. Katie Hobbs announced $1.3 million raised in the second quarter, once again outraising the combined Republican field, this time by over $330,000. Gov. Hobbs closed the latest fundraising period with $4.7 million cash on hand, more than triple the amount that Andy Biggs and Karrin Taylor Robson have combined. It’s becoming a clear trend with each fundraising quarter: Gov. Hobbs keeps building a massive war chest for the general election, while the two GOP gubernatorial candidates struggle to keep pace to fight each other in the primary.

These weak fundraising numbers extend that trend of messy infighting after the passage of the unpopular GOP budget bill, where Karrin Taylor Robson and Andy Biggs have competed to see who can more prominently support the slashing of healthcare coverage for over 365,000 Arizonans and threatening access to care for Arizonans as rural hospitals face closures. While they refused to fight for the Arizonans who could lose their healthcare coverage or have their hospital close as a result of this disastrous bill, they did have time to squabble over who has Donald Trump’s personal cell phone number.

DGA Communications Director Sam Newton said: “While Karrin Taylor Robson and Andy Biggs are busy tearing each other down in a bitter, expensive race to the extremes, Gov. Katie Hobbs is doing what she’s always done — focusing on delivering for Arizonans including erasing medical debt, cutting the child care waitlist in half, and securing the border. As Gov. Hobbs builds momentum all across Arizona, Karrin Taylor Robson and Andy Biggs’ abysmal fundraising and petty infighting signal a long, embarrassing race to the bottom.”
