With Rick Jackson and Burt Jones officially heading to a runoff, the Democratic Governors Association released a new video titled “Carnage” highlighting the months of bitter Republican infighting that have defined the race.

The video underscores how both campaigns have fueled a nasty feud filled with “personal attacks,” “cheapshots,” and biting accusations of personal corruption. The race has become the nastiest primary in modern Georgia history, and no matter who wins in June, Georgia Republicans will be stuck with a nominee defined by a history of self-enrichment, scandal, corruption, and unbreakable ties to DC Republicans’ agenda that is raising prices and pushing healthcare out of reach.

“Buckle up for four more weeks of Burt Jones and Rick Jackson going scorched earth on each other and further jeopardizing Republicans’ chances in the general election,” said DGA spokesperson Kevin Donohoe. “Months of infighting has been a disaster for Georgia Republicans – and a gift for Democrats. No matter who wins the GOP nod next month, the nominee’s flaws, scandals, and support for Trump’s cost-raising agenda will be impossible for voters to forget.”
