WATCH: New Ad in Nevada Targets Lombardo’s “Offensive” Anti-Choice Agenda

TV ad goes after Lombardo for supporting letting states ban abortion without exceptions for rape or incest

The DGA-backed group, A Stronger Nevada, is launching a new tv ad highlighting Joe Lombardo’s support for extreme abortion bans without exceptions for rape or incest. Watch the ad here.

The 30-second ad — “So Offensive” — features a victim advocate explaining the dangerous consequences of Lombardo’s support for letting states completely ban abortion, even in the cases of rape or incest. Lombardo has even said he would repeal Gov. Steve Sisolak’s executive order protecting these women who come to Nevada to evade bans.

“Joe Lombardo has made it clear that he is more than willing to restrict Nevada women’s reproductive rights,” said DGA spokesperson Christina Amestoy. “Lombardo wants to undo the progress Gov. Steve Sisolak has made towards defending women’s reproductive freedoms, so we’re holding him accountable for his dangerous anti-abortion agenda.”

Lisa C., Victim Advocate: I’ve been working with victims of domestic and sexual violence for about 22 years.

When a woman gets raped and then is pregnant, it is one of the most traumatic experiences, and Joe Lombardo supports letting states ban abortion even in cases of rape and incest.

Joe Lombardo said that he would even help states prosecute women who had an abortion, even if they’d been raped.

He wants to say you can’t have a choice. It’s so offensive and so detrimental to women.
