WATCH: Mark Robinson Lashes Out at Reporters While Refusing to Explain “Some Folks Need Killing!” Comment
Today, Mark Robinson made a scene in the North Carolina state legislative building when he refused to answer questions about his dangerous and violent remarks, where he declared: “Some folks need killing!” and “It’s time for somebody to say it. It’s not a matter of vengeance. It’s not a matter of being mean or spiteful. It’s a matter of necessity!”
Footage from CBS 17 News shows that Robinson began berating a reporter while running away into an elevator.
The News and Observer also called out Robinson for dodging questions after the event.
Notably, when Robinson said people “need killing,” he also claimed, “We now find ourselves struggling with people who have evil intent.” However, his campaign “did not respond to a question about who the people with ‘evil intent’ are that Robinson alluded to immediately prior to the ‘killing’ comments.”
DGA National Press Secretary Devon Cruz said, “Mark Robinson can run, but he cannot hide from his long record of violent rhetoric. Instead of running scared into an elevator and having a total meltdown, he should come clean.”
