This morning, North Carolina Governor-Elect Josh Stein joined Morning Joe to discuss his resounding victory where he earned nearly 55% of the vote, winning more statewide offices down ballot and breaking the GOP’s legislative supermajority, and his plans to be a governor for all North Carolinians.
The Assembly reported Stein’s win was the “biggest landslide” in a North Carolina governor’s race since 1980.
Governor-Elect Stein told Morning Joe, “Everybody wants good schools. Everybody wants an economy where they have a fair shot at making it. Everybody wants safe neighborhoods. Everybody wants their personal freedoms respected. And if you talk about those issues in a way that appeals to all people and you show that you can deliver on them and have a track record of getting things done, I believe voters will reward us.
