With 36 races on the map this November, 80% of Americans will cast their vote for their next governor. WATCH: Joe Lombardo Defends Billionaires While Standing Shoulder to Shoulder with his “Commanding Officer” Donald Trump
Last night, standing shoulder to shoulder with his “commanding officer” Donald Trump, the most vulnerable Republican governor in the country Joe Lombardo defended how Trump is “taking care of his billionaire friends,” while the Lombardo-Trump economy devastates working Nevadans.
Nevadans are suffering under one of the highest unemployment rates in the nation and Trump’s cost-raising tariffs have crushed Nevada’s tourism industry. But Lombardo thinks Nevadans should “feel a little pain,” while the GOP agenda makes billionaires even richer. Lombardo can’t even pretend to care about working Nevadans, saying earlier this week that he “can’t control” affordability.
“Quite often when the press and media runs [Trump] down, they think about you know ‘he’s taking care of his billionaire friends.’ But those billionaire friends provide jobs. And unless you take care of them, those jobs are absent.”
“While the Lombardo-Trump economy decimates tourism, kills jobs, and raises prices for hardworking Nevadans, Joe Lombardo’s only concern is taking care of Trump’s billionaire friends,” said DGA spokesperson Johanna Warshaw. “Lombardo has never and will never stand up to Trump or put Nevadans first, and that’s why he will be a one term governor.”
