The DGA released a new video calling out GOP gubernatorial nominee John James for claiming that Donald Trump and DC Republicans are “keeping prices low” — even though James has repeatedly voted to raise the cost of groceries, gas, health care and more.
While James prioritizes enriching himself through shady stock trades, Michiganders are being hit hard by soaring gas prices and Trump’s debilitating tariffs that James supports. The video also includes James bragging about passing the GOP’s budget law that is taking away health care and threatening hospitals around the state.

“While John James lines his own pockets, he’s been voting to raise costs and rip health care away from Michiganders,” said DGA Communications Director Sam Newton. “Instead of explaining his disastrous record, James claimed DC Republicans like himself are ‘keeping prices low’ and bragged about passing the deeply unpopular budget law ripping away health care. James is out of touch, out for himself and on the fast track to becoming a three-time statewide loser.”
