VIDEO: Who Will Be Crowned the Losing Candi-Date in the NH-Gov Republican Primary?

Valentine’s Day might be behind us, but it’s never too late to check in on our soon-to-be broken-hearted candi-dates in the Republican primary for governor in New Hampshire, or to remind voters about former Senator Kelly Ayotte’s and Chuck Morse’s unlovable track records of attacking Granite Staters’ most fundamental freedoms. There’s not much voters in the Live Free or Die state love more than their freedom, and Ayotte’s and Morse’s records make them anything but a perfect match:

Kelly Ayotte:

💔 Led the charge in the U.S. Senate for a national abortion ban;

💔 Repeatedly voted to defund Planned Parenthood

💔 Called for the overturning of Roe vs. Wade.

Chuck Morse:

💔 Was the architect of New Hampshire’s current abortion ban which calls for civil and criminal penalties for doctors and health care       professionals;

💔 Voted against adding exceptions for rape and incest to the bill;

💔 Voted to defund Planned Parenthood;

💔 Vote to allow pharmacists to refuse to prescribe patients birth control because of their own beliefs.

The policies Ayotte and Morse are flirting with are not only dangerous, they’re also deeply unpopular. According to new polling, 63% of voters oppose the Supreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade, with only 28% of voters saying they support it, and 64% of voters would “prefer a governor who supports protecting abortion rights” compared to just 26% who would “prefer a governor who wants to restrict abortion rights.” A majority of voters – 67% – said that abortion should be legal in either all or most cases.

Both Ayotte and Morse need to work on their active listening skills. Both Kelly Ayotte and Chuck Morse also know what it takes to lose – from Ayotte’s failed reelection campaign in 2016 to Morse’s failed U.S. Senate bid in 2022 – and it’s looking like they are ready to do it again this year.

“There’s no better way to show Granite Staters that you love them than by protecting their most fundamental freedoms. But under Chuck Morse or Kelly Ayotte, the Live Free or Die state would be a lot less free,” said DGA States Press Secretary Emma O’Brien. “Despite their differences, it’s clear both Ayotte and Morse’s love language is restricting Granite Staters’ reproductive freedom. It’s time for Granite Staters to break up with Ayotte and Morse once and for all this November.”
