At UConn Debate Weds Night, Stefanowski Refused to Comment on Kavanaugh
Connecticut Republican gubernatorial nominee Bob Stefanowski was roundly booed by a debate crowd Wednesday night for refusing to comment on Brett Kavanaugh’s Supreme Court nomination.
On the eve of a Kavanaugh hearing, Stefanowski would not answer a yes-or-no question about whether he supported Kavanaugh’s nomination. “I’m going to pass on that,” Stefanowski said. “That’s a federal issue.”
“Bob Stefanowski’s gutless answer on Kavanaugh proves why he can’t be trusted as governor of Connecticut,”said Democratic Governors Association Communications Director Jared Leopold. “Bob Stefanowski is so desperate to please Donald Trump that he won’t even comment on a Trump nominee’s alleged sexual assault. Bob Stefanowski deserved every single boo that he got in Storrs last night.”
