This morning, women leaders in Rhode Island called out gubernatorial candidates Allan Fung and Joe Trillo for failing to stand up to President Trump on Judge Kavanaugh’s nomination to the Supreme Court.

ABC6: “Rhode Island’s Democratic Women’s Caucus calling on Mayor Allan Fung and Joe Trillo to take a stand on Judge Kavanaugh’s Supreme Court nomination.
“These local Democrats want to know if the gubernatorial candidates still support Kavanaugh in light of multiple allegations of sexual abuse. Governor Raimondo has called for a full FBI investigation into the claims, saying she believes the victims. Well now, the Democrats are saying it’s the governor’s job, whoever that should be, to deal with the outcomes of Supreme Court Rulings.
Senator Gayle Goldin: “Right here in Rhode Island, we can make decisions and laws that will help protect Rhode Islanders and protect our constitutional rights. We need to make sure that we have the right person in the governor’s office to make sure that continues to happen,”
