VIDEO: Bizarre Comment of the Week: “Schuette-Wan Kenobi”
Today the DGA bestowed its prestigious Bizarre Comment of the Week Award to Michigan Attorney General Bill Schuette for his puzzling assertion during his gubernatorial campaign kickoff that he is Michigan’s version of Obi-Wan Kenobi—an awkward moment that pulled focus from his campaign launch and launched “his own inadvertant ‘Star Wars.’”

While we’re Star Wars fans here at the DGA, we were left scratching our heads at the massive gulf between Schuette’s Jedi stylings and his actual Dark Side record.
So, hats off to Bill Schuette for making the bizarre comment of the week. If he’s the Michigan GOP’s “only hope,” his bungled campaign rollout makes clear 2018 will be difficult for them indeed.
