Trump Is Breaking Healthcare, Laxalt Owns It Now
If there was any doubt that fringe, right-wing candidate Adam Laxalt was a Donald Trump lackey, the President erased it in one tweet.
The President’s efforts to take away healthcare from millions are well-documented at this point. He tried, and failed, to repeal it. He sabotaged the healthcare market by ending cost-sharing reduction payments. He has worked with Republican governors across the country to rollback access to healthcare by dismantling Medicaid expansion.
Now, Donald Trump’s Department of Justice refuses to defend the requirement that insurers cover those with pre-existing conditions.
With one endorsement, Adam Laxalt makes it clear he supports the President’s efforts to rip healthcare away from hundreds of thousands of Nevadans.
“Adam Laxalt has never been shy about doing the bidding of powerful special interests, so it is safe to assume he will be Donald Trump’s puppet on healthcare as well,” said Democratic Governors Association Deputy Communications Director David Turner. “We look forward to Donald Trump and Adam Laxalt campaigning on a platform of denying insurance to those with pre-existing conditions and ending Medicaid expansion in Nevada.”
