Democratic governors are leading the fight against Donald Trump and his administration – and they need your help. Trump and his allies have hundreds of millions of dollars to attack our candidates, and we have to make sure we’ve got the resources to fight back. We need to invest NOW to expand our map, win in battleground states, protect our blue firewall of Dem govs, and flip critical states from red to blue. Can Dem govs count on you to chip in right now?

“The GOP Cavalry Isn’t Coming In For Drazan”: What Oregonians Are Reading About Christine Drazan’s Broke and Desperate Campaign
Christine Drazan’s broke and increasingly desperate campaign has been completely hung out to dry by the Republican Governors Association, and Oregonians are hearing about it across the state.
The RGA spent over $7 million on Drazan’s failed 2022 campaign, but they are sitting out her 2026 attempt as she faces increasing scrutiny for her far-right agenda that is more aligned with Donald Trump than everyday Oregonians. Drazan’s toxic record includes pushing to gut Medicaid, ban abortion, and eliminate vote by mail – putting her squarely out of step with the state she’s trying to lead.
Here’s what Oregonians are reading about National Republicans’ lack of support for Drazan’s flailing campaign:
- Statesman Journal: “RGA was a strong financial backer of Drazan during her previous run, contributing more than $7 million to her campaign between May and November 2022. It has so far not contributed any funds to Drazan’s campaign this time around…The organization did not respond to prior questions from the Statesman Journal about whether it would once again fund Drazan.”
- National Journal: “The GOP cavalry isn’t coming in for Drazan”
- The Downballot: “Kotek has a huge financial advantage to promote that messaging during the final five weeks of the campaign. The Oregonian reported Wednesday that the governor has $9.2 million in the bank as of the end of September, compared to just $1.2 million for Drazan. A key reason Drazan is so far behind is that… the Republican Governors Association… [has] yet to invest in her second bid.”
“Christine Drazan has been abandoned by the RGA, who clearly have seen the writing on the wall that Drazan’s Trump-style agenda has no place in Oregon,” said Deputy Communications Director Johanna Warshaw. “Governor Kotek has always put Oregonians first, and voters know they can rely on her to stand up to Trump and keep the state moving forward.”
