Teachers, Labor Unions, and NH Troopers Association Choose Dan Feltes Over Chris Sununu
NH Troopers Association Endorses Feltes For Governor After Backing Sununu in 2018
Just a week after the primary, NH Senate Majority Leader Dan Feltes has received endorsements for governor from labor unions, teachers, elected officials, and law enforcement. Most notably, the New Hampshire Troopers Association backed Feltes over GOP Gov. Chris Sununu, who received the troopers’ endorsement in 2018.
Here’s a look at all the hardworking Granite Staters who have backed Feltes so far:
- SEA/SEIU Local 1984: “Dan will look at every issue through the lens of what it means for everyday working families — like the one he grew up in and the ones he represented at New Hampshire Legal Assistance.”
- National Education Association of New Hampshire (NEA-NH): “We are proudly recommending Senator Feltes to our members because he has long been a champion of education and educators and he helped secure the greatest education funding in state history.”
- New Hampshire Troopers Association: “This year we went through the most difficult contract negotiations ever. I know the members of the NH Troopers Association and their families are disappointed that the Governor refused to accept the third-party fact-finder’s recommendation and we continue to work without the contract that was negotiated. With that in mind, today we are endorsing Dan Feltes for Governor. We know he is committed to public safety, public service, and to the workers of the State.”
Feltes also has the support of 15 other labor unions, nine state senators and over 90 state representatives.
“Dan Feltes is building a broad coalition of Granite Staters united against the Trump-Sununu agenda,” said DGA National Press Secretary Jerusalem Demsas. “While Chris Sununu will continue to stand in the way of progress, Feltes will fight for paid family leave, affordable health care, and a minimum wage increase. Granite Staters know Feltes will create an economy that works for everyone, not just the wealthy few.”
