Super Bowl Showdown: Tale of the Tape
The Carolina Panthers and the Denver Broncos are set for what promises to be an exciting Super Bowl showdown between two dynamic offenses and evenly matched defenses.
Less of a competition, however, is the match-up between the two team’s respective states. Democratic Gov. John Hickenlooper has Colorado outperforming North Carolina, led by his Republican counterpart Gov. Pat McCrory.
Lets take a look at the tape:
•Unemployment: Colorado is among the top ten states with the lowest unemployment rates, while North Carolina finished 39th in unemployment according to data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
•Median Income: Colorado outpaces the Tar Heel State in median household income, ranking in the nations ten best. Census data shows North Carolina coming in at 43rd.
•Economy: Business Insider state economy rankings put North Carolina well behind Colorado’s third place finish, with a middling rank of 27th.
When it comes to economic leadership, Gov. Hickenlooper has given Colorado a reason to Dab. Meanwhile, Panthers fans have been busy booing Gov. McCrory. [Video here]
