Statement from the Democratic Governors Association on the 2013 Virginia Governor’s Race

Washington, DC – Colm O’Comartun, the Executive Director of the Democratic Governors Association, released the following statement tonight on the 2013 Virginia governor’s race:
“We welcome Terry McAuliffe to the Virginia governor’s race. He has a proven record of job creation and working across the aisle in the Commonwealth.  After President Obama’s decisive victory on Tuesday and the overreach of the Republican legislature and Governor Bob McDonnell, especially on women’s health, we believe we are poised to win this race and are committed to devoting the resources necessary to it.”
