Statement from DGA Chair Governor Phil Murphy on the Passing of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg
Democratic Governors Association Chair New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy released the following statement on the passing of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg:
“Justice Ginsburg was a trailblazer, a fierce advocate for gender equality, and an American icon. She was an inspiration to many – dedicating her life to equal justice under the law. It is impossible to fully sum up the legacy she leaves behind. To say she will be greatly missed is an understatement.
“Justice Ginsburg spent her life fighting for our nation to live up to its high ideals of liberty, justice and equality for all. It’s up to all of us now to keep up the fight. May she rest in peace, and may her memory be a blessing.”
