Democratic governors are leading the fight against Donald Trump and his administration – and they need your help. Trump and his allies have hundreds of millions of dollars to attack our candidates, and we have to make sure we’ve got the resources to fight back. With 36 races on the map this November, 80% of Americans will cast their vote for their next governor. SATURDAY at 8:30 AM: Democratic Governors To Highlight Electoral and Policy Successes
This Saturday, Feb. 23rd at 8:30 AM, DGA Chair Gov. Gina Raimondo (RI), Vice Chair Gov. Phil Murphy (NJ) and Democratic governors will hold a press conference at NGA to outline the progress being made by Democratic governors in the states and what it means for the upcoming gubernatorial cycle. Specifically, many of the newly elected Democratic governors will be sharing the early progress made in their administrations.
After a historic 2018 election cycle saw seven gubernatorial seats flip from red to blue, a majority of Americans are now living under a Democratic governor. While Congress has grinded to a halt in Washington D.C., Democratic governors have hit the ground running and achieved a number of policy accomplishments for their states.
