Put Michigan First Launches Latest Ads Focusing on Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s Education Record in Months-Long Program Engaging Black Michiganders
Today, Put Michigan First is launching the latest digital ads as part of a months-long program communicating with Black Michiganders about kitchen table issues and the impact Gov. Gretchen Whitmer and Lt. Gov. Garlin Gilchrist’s leadership has had on families.
This second wave of digital ads uplifts the voices of Michiganders sharing the ways that Gov. Whitmer and Lt. Gov. Gilchrist’s historic investments in public education and tuition-free community college have created game-changing opportunities. Watch the digital ads here and here.
In their first term, Gov. Whitmer and Lt. Gov. Gilchrist delivered tuition-free community college and Michigan’s highest ever per-pupil investment in public schools without raising taxes.
The ads are airing across a wide array of platforms and are a continuation of a broader seven-figure investment to highlight key aspects of the governor’s agenda to expand opportunities in Black communities.
Put Michigan First Spokesperson Sam Newton said: “By making record investments in public education and delivering tuition-free community college — without raising taxes — Gov. Gretchen Whitmer and Lt. Gov. Garlin Gilchrist are working hard to deliver results that solve problems hurting families and create more opportunities. These ads allow Michiganders to hear directly from fellow Michiganders about the positive impact of those investments in Black communities across the state.”
