Patricia Morgan Rubs Elbows With Trump Administration
Trump Approval Underwater with Rhode Island Voters by 30 Points
Yesterday, Rhode Island’s Patricia Morgan visited the White House and hobnobbed with President Trump and high ranking Administration officials, an interesting campaign strategy for a candidate running in a state where the President’s approval rating is underwater by a whopping 30 points.
Photos on Twitter show that Morgan saw President Trump, Vice President Pence, and Secretary Carson while she was there.
Morgan’s primary opponent, Mayor Allan Fung, does not appear to have been invited to the White House yesterday, but he has previously made his support for the Trump Administration crystal clear.
On issues from gun violence prevention and offshore drilling to DACA and Trumpcare, these Rhode Island Republicans have refused to stand up to the Trump Administration.
“Rhode Islanders know that both Patricia Morgan and Allan Fung won’t stand up to the Trump Administration and their dangerous policies that hurt the Ocean State,” said DGA Communications Director Jared Leopold. “We encourage Morgan and Fung to visit President Trump early and often. It’s clear they’re more comfortable next to him than standing up for Rhode Islanders.”
