On Last Day of Campaign, Rauner and Ives Cannot Run on their Disastrous Records
Today, Democratic Governors Association spokesperson Sam Salustro released the following statement in response to state Representative Jeanne Ives’ and Governor Bruce Rauner’s planned press conferences:
“It’s sad that Bruce Rauner and Jeanne Ives have nothing positive to talk about in their final hours on the campaign trail before their primary ends. With a disastrous record to run on, Bruce Rauner is growing increasingly desperate in his primary against a right-wing, Trump-style, anti-choice candidate. And Jeanne Ives would do anything to distract from her record because she knows it’s way too out-of-touch for Illinois.”
