NEW: Sears Campaign Claims She’s “More Conservative than Trump” in Desperate Attempt to Win His Endorsement Over LaRock and Chase
Today, new reporting from the Virginia Scope revealed audio from a recent event hosted by Winsome Earle-Sears’ campaign for governor, where her staff described her as “more conservative than Trump” in a desperate play to secure an endorsement for her flailing campaign over Dave LaRock and Amanda Chase.
As Sears battles accusations that her campaign has “lost focus” and is in “stunning free-fall”, her campaign is turning up the heat on LaRock and Chase by childishly arguing that “they would be the last two people picked for the dodgeball team.”
This is just the latest example of Sears attempting to go “full MAGA” as this continues to be a race to the far-right.
“Virginia’s GOP primary for governor is getting nastier, and pettier by the day, as the three candidates focus more on landing a Trump endorsement than addressing the issues that impact Virginians every single day,” said DGA National Press Secretary Devon Cruz.
