New Polling Shows Aaron Ford Leading Joe Lombardo in Nevada Gov Race 

New polling from Emerson College/KLAS shows Attorney General Aaron Ford leading Joe Lombardo – the most vulnerable governor in the country – 44 to 42 percent. The poll shows Ford with a whopping 31-point lead among Hispanic voters, an essential voting bloc in Nevada, and a 10-point lead among women.

The poll also shows that 55 percent of voters disapprove of Trump’s job performance, a massive vulnerability for Lombardo, who has called Trump his “commanding officer” and sent costs sky high under the Lombardo-Trump economy while claiming Nevadans “need to feel a little pain.”

This news comes as A More Affordable Nevada, a group backed by the Democratic Governors Association, released its first broadcast ad of the cycle today highlighting rising costs of gas, groceries, and housing in Nevada under Lombardo’s failed leadership. It’s part of a seven-figure ad buy for the week.

While Lombardo and his allies are spending over $38 million against Ford, the race has only continued to tighten as Nevadans send a clear message that they’re ready for change.

“Aaron Ford has clear momentum as his message of lowering costs and standing up to Trump resonates with hardworking voters across the Silver State,” said DGA Deputy Communications Director Johanna Warshaw. “Lombardo can’t escape his record of siding with his ‘commanding officer’ Donald Trump and forcing Nevadans to feel a little pain under their cost-raising agenda. Aaron Ford is running a strong race focused on making life affordable for Nevadans, and that is why he’s well positioned to win this November.”
