New Poll Shows Razor-Thin Margin in Wide Open KY-GOV Primar

A new poll from Emerson College shows a wide-open race in Kentucky’s Republican gubernatorial primary.

With just over a month until Election Day and spending that has already topped $6 million, the race for the GOP nomination only continues to tighten. More than 20 percent of voters remain undecided — all but guaranteeing that this race will be a nasty and expensive brawl until the very end.

This comes as Mitch McConnell crony Daniel Cameron is increasingly facing heat for skipping a major debate next week — and lying about why.

“Instead of doing anything to help Kentuckians, the extremists in the GOP primary have spent many months and millions of dollars tearing each down — and it’s only going to get louder and messier over the next 32 days,” said DGA Communications Director Sam Newton. “Whichever one of these deeply flawed candidates makes it through the primary will have to work overtime just to heal the scars left by this primary and win over members of their own party, while Gov. Andy Beshear’s focus on bringing people together to do right by every single Kentuckian continues to earn him the support of Kentuckians across party lines.”
