New Poll Shows Commanding Lead for Oregon Governor Kate Brown
Oregon Voters Give Brown High Favorable Marks
A new poll by Oregon Public Broadcasting shows Oregon Governor Kate Brown with a commanding lead over Republican Knute Buehler. 46% of Oregonians support Brown, well above the 29% backing Buehler. In addition to her strong performance on the ballot test, Brown’s net favorability stands at +12 despite Republican special interests launching their full arsenal her way.
And Buehler is unlikely to consolidate support anytime soon; just last week, conservative Greg Wooldridge, a former Blue Angels Commander with a strong base of support among Oregon’s hard right, threw his hat in the ring to challenge him, forcing a nasty and expensive race to the right.
“Oregon voters know that Governor Brown fights relentlessly for the state’s families and jobs, and this poll reflects her impressive work on behalf of all Oregonians,” said DGA Press Secretary Melissa Miller. “Governor Brown has a record of delivering real results for the people of Oregon. Voters won’t fall for the nasty smears launched by Knute Buehler and his shady Republican special interest allies.”
