Neuschwanger Grabs High-Profile Endorsement from Putin-Sympathizer Michael Flynn

Far-right Colorado gubernatorial candidate Danielle Neuschwanger is gaining momentum fast. She touted her biggest GOP gubernatorial endorsement of the race, posting a video today with glowing support from disgraced, Putin-sympathizing general Michael Flynn.

Recent comments by Flynn have characterized Russia’s invasion of Ukraine as “another illusion…being sold” to Americans, and that the invasion “upset[s] the balance of the world order”, another conspiracy theory Flynn has touted.

Flynn has been subpoenaed by the committee investigating the January 6th insurrection, pleaded guilty to lying about Russian connections from the FBI, and fired from his position as National Security Advisor during the Trump administration.

This isn’t the first time Neuschwanger has been quick to tie herself to conspiracy theorists. Earlier this month she joined fellow Big Lie promoters Colorado Rep, Lauren Boebert, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, and MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell at CPAC.

“Danielle Neuschwanger is delusional to think touting an endorsement from a conspiracy theorist is the way to win over Colorado,” said DGA Senior Communications Advisor Christina Amestoy. “While her brand of extremism might make inroads in the far-right GOP primary, it’s completely removed from the values Coloradans care about. Neuschwanger and her fellow candidates in the GOP field have demonstrated what matters to them — extremism and conspiracies over Colorado values.”
