NBC: Mark Robinson Scrubs Campaign Website of His Dangerous Anti-Choice Extremism

Mark Robinson is once again caught trying to deceive North Carolinians about his dangerous anti-choice extremism, with NBC reporting that he “appears to have removed references to abortion from his campaign website.”

After updating his campaign website to include an issues page, Robinson removed any reference to his support for an extreme abortion ban in North Carolina, despite having it listed on the same website while running for lieutenant governor in 2020.

This is not the first time that Robinson has tried to hide his plan to ban abortion with no exceptions. Previously, Robinson said, “They think that I’ve changed my position. I have not changed my position. I’ve just changed…what I’m saying.”

It’s no surprise he doesn’t want North Carolinians to know his dangerous and unpopular stance. He’s said that if elected governor he wants to pass “a bill saying you can’t have an abortion in North Carolina for any reason,” including rape and incest. He’s also told women: “Abortion in this country is not about protecting the lives of mothers. It is about killing the child because you weren’t responsible enough to keep your skirt down.”

“Mark Robinson may be scrubbing his website, but he can’t hide his plans to pass a total abortion ban without exceptions for rape and incest from North Carolinians,” said DGA National Press Secretary Devon Cruz. “Clearly, Robinson knows how unpopular his dangerous agenda is with North Carolinians, but that won’t stop him from charging ahead with his plans to further undermine women’s reproductive freedom if elected governor.”
