Mike Kehoe Must Answer for His Extreme Agenda to Missouri Voters

After spending the primary promising to rip away rights and drag Missouri backwards, Republican nominee for governor Lieutenant Governor Mike Kehoe is entering the general election forced to answer for his extreme and dangerous agenda to Missouri voters, including:

• Why he supported the passage of the state’s draconian ban on abortion that went into effect immediately following Roe v. Wade being overturned, and which does not include exceptions for rape or incest.

• Why he celebrated the overturning of Roe v. Wade that stripped millions of Missourians of their fundamental freedoms.

• His plans to further restrict reproductive freedom.

• His ties to a lobbyist employed by a “Chinese business that owns a significant chunk of agricultural land in the state,” including a $25,000 donation that paid for Kehoe’s campaign bus.

• His support for a dangerous tax credit program that would siphon tax dollars away from public schools and services and give them to private schools.

“After he and his allies spent the last year flooding Missouri TVs with attacks defending himself against his fellow Republicans, on day one of the general election, Missouri voters want to know why Mike Kehoe plans to further restrict reproductive freedom, threaten public education, and take Missouri backwards,” said DGA States Press Secretary Emma O’Brien. “As Kehoe tries to piece back together Missouri’s Republican party left splintered from this year’s bruising primary, we’ll be sure to continue reminding Missouri voters just how extreme and unfit he is to be the state’s next governor.”
