Tonight, in Montana’s first gubernatorial debate, Mike Cooney demolished Greg Gianforte’s record on public lands, highlighted his devastating record on restricting access to health care, and pushed the Republican to apologize to Montanans for lying to law enforcement following his infamous 2017 assault.
“Tonight, Greg Gianforte was exposed as a liar and a failure,” said DGA National Press Secretary Jerusalem Demsas. “After voting to fund the lawsuit against the Affordable Care Act, suing to block public access to public lands, and supporting the uncontrolled spread of COVID-19, Gianforte has absolutely no credibility on the biggest issues facing Montanans.”
