MeidasTouch: Andy Biggs Has A “Bizarre History of Protecting Child Predators”

New reporting from MeidasTouch highlights Andy Biggs’ disturbing history of voting against legislation targeting child predators, noting that Biggs “was the lone vote against a bill that increased criminal penalties for engaging in child prostitution.”

Biggs “blocked a vote on a bipartisan bill that would have given the state more enforcement power” to shut down a corrupt pedophile cult based in Colorado City that was “forcing girls as young as nine to marry adult men.” One Republican legislator highlighted that “women and children suffered three years longer than they should have because he protected the bad guys.”

This follows a recent investigation from the Washington Post detailing how Biggs’ record of protecting the cult “accused of sexually abusing girls” that has caused him to receive backlash from Republicans that “may haunt” his campaign.

MeidasTouch: Andy Biggs’ Bizarre History of Protecting Child Predators Comes to Light

  • MAGA Republican Representative and Arizona Gubernatorial candidate, Andy Biggs was the lone vote against a bill that increased criminal penalties for engaging in child prostitution, in a move that prompted the Arizona Republic to publish an article called “Biggs Puts Pimps, Johns Ahead Of Child Protection.”
  • But that vote was just one in a series of legislative moves by Biggs to protect child predators, up to and including his vote to keep the Epstein files from being released last year.
  • The version of the bill that Biggs voted against in committee made it a Class 2 felony for a person to recruit, entice, harbor, transport, provide or obtain by any means another person under 18 years old with the intent of causing the other person to engage in prostitution.
  • It also expanded the offense of child prostitution to include knowingly engaging in or attempting to engage in prostitution with a minor, and stated that it is not a defense to a prosecution if at the time of the offense the defendant did not know and could not have reasonably known the age of the minor.
  • As a State Senator in 2013, Biggs blocked a vote on a bipartisan bill that would have given the state more enforcement power to target the…cult in Colorado City, Arizona which was forcing girls as young as nine to marry adult men. The bill had passed the state House, but was buried by Biggs as the leader in the Senate. Republicans in the Senate and the Republican Attorney General were baffled by Biggs’ move.
  • Women and children suffered three years longer than they should have because he protected the bad guys,” said Republican legislator Michelle Ugenti-Rita.
  • Then came Jeffrey Epstein. In Congress in 2025, Biggs was one of only two members of a House Subcommittee to vote against forcing the Department of Justice to release the Epstein files, despite campaigning on transparency in the global pedophilia case.
  • Biggs had been a conspiracy theorist for years espousing claims of a “deep state” of elites that were protecting a cabal of child sex traffickers. But as soon as Donald Trump was elected in 2024, Biggs suddenly went silent on the issue, calling Democrats’ efforts to seek justice in the case a “gotcha game” to try and discredit Trump.
  • Biggs is known to be a right-wing extremist and conspiracy theorist who has succeeded in politics because he comes from one of the most solidly loyal Republican districts in the country. But his decision to run for Governor is bringing his decades old record to light; revealing that at multiple points in his career Biggs has opted to protect pedophiles rather than their victims.
