MAGA Congressman Tom Tiffany Can’t Answer How He’ll Differentiate Himself From Unpopular Trump

On the first day of Wisconsin’s general election, MAGA Congressman Tom Tiffany just couldn’t escape questions about his lockstep loyalty to Donald Trump.

In two separate interviews with Milwaukee’s WISN12 and CBS58, Congressman Tiffany was asked about his ties to Trump and whether he wanted Trump to come campaign with him. Both times, he ducked the question, serving up long-winded word salad answers, despite the fact that even Trump bragged just this week that Tiffany “has always been at my side.” Recent public polling shows Trump’s approval in Wisconsin at 39 percent.

Try as he might to avoid the question, Congressman Tiffany’s record tells the truth: he has been a rubber stamp for every one of Trump’s disastrous policies that have driven up costs for Wisconsinites, from the GOP budget law that slashed health care funding, to Trump’s war in Iran that has caused gas prices to skyrocket, to the tariffs that raised costs on Wisconsin families and businesses by $3.5 billion last year alone. Congressman Tiffany has also been a reliable footsoldier for Trump and the MAGA movement’s attacks on Wisconsinites’ rights and on the rule of law, backing Trump’s efforts to throw out the results of the 2020 election and his ongoing FBI investigation into Wisconsin’s elections, blocking the release of the Epstein files, and backing a national abortion ban beginning at conception.

“As a Congressman, Tom Tiffany has been in lockstep with Donald Trump, even when it comes at the expense of Wisconsin,” said DGA spokesperson Izzi Levy. “Congressman Tiffany’s record consists of driving up costs, robbing Wisconsinites of their health care and rights, and peddling dangerous and debunked election conspiracies. Wisconsinites deserve a leader who will work to bring down costs, not one who will bring Trump’s MAGA chaos home to Wisconsin.”
