Will you donate to elect more Democratic governors who will defend our rights and freedoms and stand up to Trump?

“MAGA Candidate” Kari Lake Throws Down the Gauntlet, Ensuring Chaotic AZ GOP Primary

Latest News

Lake: “I am the only person running for governor right now in Arizona who’s a conservative, MAGA candidate, Trump Republican.”

In an interview on One America News Network’s “Real America” last week, Kari Lake declared herself the one true “MAGA candidate” in Arizona’s gubernatorial primary. Her inflammatory comments are sure to stir up trouble in what’s already become a messy GOP primary.

Lake said she’s running against the “uni-party” of Republicans and Democrats and suggested that other Republicans lie about being pro-Trump when it’s convenient for their political aspirations. Despite her history of supporting Democrats, Lake now (conveniently) fully embraces the Trump outsider strategy and said conservatives are scared she’ll upend their primary.

Lake is also following in Trump’s footsteps on hateful social crusades and unpopular policies. The failed-journalist-turned-conspiracy-peddler has already made headlines for spreading Trump’s ‘Big Lie’ and far-right propaganda about border security and mask-wearing.

“Kari Lake has officially set the tone for the GOP primary with MAGA rallying cries and attacks on fellow Republicans and it’s only a matter of time until the rest of the field is forced to match her,” said DGA Senior Communications Advisor Christina Amestoy. “No matter who is the first to step up to the mic, Lake is sure to drag everyone to the far-right with a series of pro-Trump litmus tests leaving the last-standing Republican to defend their extreme and unpopular primary platform to general election voters.”
