Kim Reynolds Caught In Questionable Private Jet Scheme—Again

A new report from the Associated Press in Iowa shows that Governor Kim Reynolds and her family flew to Tennessee on a private jet owned by a state vendor to watch a football game. State law prohibits public officials from accepting gifts, but Reynolds claimed the flight was for a campaign event in seeking approval from the state ethics board.

 This is not the first time Reynolds has come under fire for shady private jet schemes with donors who have business before the state. The AP reported last year that, “for her first trip across Iowa as governor, Republican Kim Reynolds sought and accepted the free use of a jet owned by a wealthy businessman who is lobbying for state approval to build a lucrative casino.”
