“Kelly Ayotte Knows Better.” Put New Hampshire First TV and Digital Ads Remind Voters Ayotte Cannot Be Trusted
Put New Hampshire First, a group backed by the DGA, launched a series of new TV and digital ads holding Republican candidate for governor Kelly Ayotte accountable for her dangerous record on abortion, her lies about her record, and her full-throated endorsement of Donald Trump, despite saying in 2016 that she “cannot and will not support a candidate for president who brags about degrading and assaulting women.”
The new 15- and 30-second digital ads, titled “Trump,” feature Granite State women speaking out about Ayotte’s choice to embrace the former president in her current campaign. This reversal comes after Ayotte unendorsed Trump in 2016 after leaked audio revealed him “talking about assault of women… And I want my daughter to know that.”
-
“[Ayotte’s] supporting someone who thinks it’s okay to sexually assault women.”
-
“[Ayotte] went from a position in 2016 where she refused to support Trump, thinking about her own daughter in her decision, to 2024 where she’s looking for his support.”
-
“Kelly Ayotte knows better, she knows who Donald Trump is.”

The TV ad, “Great Kids,” features Dustin, a New Hampshire dad of two who shares how Kelly Ayotte’s votes to restrict reproductive freedom would have made it harder for his own wife to get a medically-necessary abortion. In the Senate, Ayotte voted for a national abortion ban, voted to allow health care providers to deny women IVF and other reproductive care, and voted four times to defund Planned Parenthood, New Hampshire’s largest provider of reproductive health care — something she has also pledged to do as governor.

“Whether it’s breaking her word to her own daughter about being unable to vote for Donald Trump, or repeatedly lying about her years-long assault on abortion rights and reproductive freedom, Kelly Ayotte continues to show Granite Staters at every turn that she cannot be trusted,” said DGA States Press Secretary Emma O’Brien. “With her finger in the wind and willingness to say anything she thinks will help her get elected, Ayotte represents politicians at their worst, and this November, Granite Staters will reject her once and for all.”
