Kansas GOP Field Silent as Trump Plans to Abandon American Farmers and Ranchers for Cheap Argentinian Imports
Where’s the beef? Thanks to Donald Trump it could now be coming from Argentina – a move that would devastate American beef producers including those in Kansas, whose cattle industry ranks third nationally and is a key driver of the state’s economy.
While Kansas farmers have been outspoken in objecting to the plan, the field of Republicans running for Kansas governor have been radio silent on the issue. They have continued to stand by the Administration’s unpopular, cost-raising agenda, with the Kansas Reflector noting “Kansas Republicans have been loathe to publicly criticize Trump’s trade agenda.”
“Instead of standing up for Kansas farmers and ranchers, Kansas Republicans are standing by Donald Trump as he devastates the state’s agricultural industry – once again proving how unfit they are to govern the Sunflower State,” said DGA Deputy Communications Director Johanna Warshaw.
