Joe Lombardo’s Problems With His Own Party Drag On As Joey Gilbert Files Lawsuit Over Primary Results

Joe Lombardo’s flailing campaign is in hot water as Joey Gilbert continues to dispute Lombardo’s primary election win, this time filing a lawsuit seeking to invalidate the result.

The lawsuit alleges that the election results “erroneously” determined Lombardo as the winner. Lombardo came out on top with dismal support and less than 40% of the vote.

Gilbert’s pushback points to a lack of Republican support for Lombardo and an evident lack of party unity. It’s clear that Lombardo’s decision to embrace the Big Lie is costing him.

“Joey Gilbert’s repeated attempts to contest the certified June primary results leave Nevada Republicans questioning the legitimacy of Lombardo instead of coalescing behind their nominee,” said DGA Senior Communications Advisor Christina Amestoy. “Pandering to the Big Lie peddlers has ironically cost him crucial support from his own party, and the infighting shows no sign of slowing down.”
