ICYMI: New Ad from Cooney Campaign Highlights GOP Nominee Supporting A Sales Tax For Montanans
“The Fairest Tax is the One You Pay and I Don’t”
Today, Montana Democratic gubernatorial nominee Mike Cooney’s campaign launched an ad campaign highlighting GOP nominee Greg Gianforte’s support for a regressive sales tax, “GianforTAX.” New Jersey millionaire Gianforte believes “the fairest tax is the one you pay and I don’t” – which is why he testified in favor of a statewide sales tax.
Gianforte has repeatedly lied to Montanans, saying he never supported a sales tax – but Gianforte has said on the record that he believes a sales tax is the “ideal solution.”
