ICYMI: Kari Lake Kicks Off Her Extremist Campaign for Governor in *Checks Notes* Texas?
Meanwhile, Katie Hobbs Begins General Election Talking to Arizona Voters
If their first days on the general election campaign trail will “signal what’s to come,” Arizonans can expect more extremism and conspiracy theories from Kari Lake while Katie Hobbs addresses the real issues facing Arizonans.
Shortly after winning the nasty Republican primary for governor, Lake abandoned Arizonans and joined her fellow conspiracy theorists at a MAGA megaconference in Texas. Meanwhile, Hobbs launched a three-day tour of central and southern Arizona at a community health center.
“I’m focused on what we need to do to win in November,” said Hobbs. “And that means continuing talking to voters across Arizona about how we bring people together to solve our biggest challenges. I’m not sure how that happens in Texas.”
Lake’s campaign has been focused on unpopular stances like promoting Trump’s Big Lie and banning abortion without exceptions for rape or incest.
“Kari Lake continues to neglect the biggest challenges in Arizona as she tries to disrupt democracy to advance her own MAGA agenda,” said DGA Senior Communications Advisor Christina Amestoy. “While Lake rallies with extremists in Texas, Katie Hobbs continues to engage voters and propose real solutions for working families.”
