ICYMI: Gov. Inslee Calls on Congress Not to ‘Jerk the Rug Out’ from 750,000 Washingtonians on Health Care
Inslee on MSNBC: ‘You cannot take away treatment for cancer without replacing it on the same day’
In case you missed it, Washington Gov. Jay Inslee offered a clear outlook on the plan in Congress to repeal the Affordable Care Act without a meaningful replacement: “That just doesn’t cut it.”
This Saturday, Gov. Inslee joined MSNBC Live to discuss how the ACA repeal plan would strip away critical healthcare benefits from 750,000 Washingtonians who received coverage under the law.
“The American people’s voices are going to be heard on this: you cannot take away treatment for cancer without replacing it on the same day,” Gov. Inslee said. “Today there are 750,000 Washingtonians, if they get a lump in their breast a woman can go get it seen today. That’s at risk right now because of what the Republicans are doing and I don’t think Americans are going to stand for jerking that rug out from under people without providing some meaningful replacement.”
