Govs Get It Done: Optimism In Illinois Hits Four-Year High Under Gov. Pritzker’s Leadership
A new poll in Illinois shows that the percentage of Illinois residents who believe the state is headed in the right direction has doubled under Democratic Gov. JB Pritzker’s leadership. Gov. Pritzker also holds a 59 percent approval rating in his ninth month in office.
The poll, conducted by the Survey Research Office at the University of Illinois Springfield saw a 100 percent increase in the last year among residents who believe the state is headed in the right direction from a poll taken under GOP Gov. Bruce Rauner’s leadership. The percentage marks the highest percentage in four years.
Gov. Pritzker received widespread praise for his bipartisan leadership during the successful 2019 legislative session.
