The governor signed an executive order to bring together leaders from across state government to tackle the opioid epidemic
Democratic Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer yesterday signed an executive order creating a state opioid task force. The task force, which will be chaired by the chief medical executive for the state and the chief deputy director for health for the state Department of Health, is tasked with identifying the root causes of the epidemic and implementing response actions.
